Paul Bommer, Owner and Scientific & Commercial Department Head

Paul has been managing a talented, experienced department since 2014, and his role includes business management, development, and estimating standards for the Scientific and Commercial HVAC divisions. As the Scientific & Commercial Department Head, he is also responsible for the mechanical and electrical engineering, specification review, and planning of field activities for capital projects. He brings over 25 years of experience to the team as a senior engineer, estimator, and project manager. Seventeen of those years were spent at a leading stability chamber manufacturer, and he has extensive experience in mechanical and electrical engineering of those systems. He holds a North Carolina Unlimited Electrical Contracting license, as well as certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10-Hour Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, CPR, AED & First Aid & WPS, (EPA NASDARF) and TSA clearance, among others.

Richard Beasley, Project Engineer

Richard joined Element in 2015 as a Field Supervisor for the Scientific & Commercial Department before moving up into a Project Engineer position. He has 24+ years of commercial electrical construction and service, instrument calibration experience and is the owner/proprietor of RPB Electric. As a Field Supervisor, he has performed and overseen service and installation for electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration projects. As a Project Engineer, his duties include engineering and estimating quoted services, maintenance contracts and capital expense projects, as well as coordinating the quotations and materials, and monitoring jobs for quality control, while providing instructional training for instrument calibrations. Richard holds a North Carolina Unlimited Electrical Contracting license, a certificate in HVAC-R from Ashworth College, and a diploma in Construction Management from NCSU, as well as certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, Fire Safety, OSHA 10-Hour Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, Confined Space Entry, Aerial & Scissor Lift, CPR, AED & First Aid & WPS, (EPA NASDARF) and TSA clearance.

David Sanders, Install Manager

David is an original founding member of Element Service Group Mechanical, (formerly CES), and has been working here since 2009. His divisional duties as a Department Manager are the coordination and management of field personnel, parts and technical support. He is also Element’s Safety Manager, providing continuous training opportunities for all employees. David brings 28 years of commercial refrigeration construction and service experience to the company, as well as cascade refrigeration experience. He has a technical degree from Wake Technical Community College in HVAC/Refrigeration, and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 30-Hour Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, and Confined Space Entry & WPS, (EPA NASDARF), plus a North Carolina Refrigeration Contracting License and TSA clearance.

Chris Hatter, Electrical Technician & Installation Supervisor

Chris joined Element in 2021 as an Electrical Technician and has since transitioned into an Installation Supervisor role. In addition to having a Texas Journeyman Electrician License, he has over 22 years of electrical experience, as well as experience with automation/process controls, fabrication, integration, schematics, and mechanical industries. Chris’s supervisory experience also plays a key part into his current job responsibilities of being an Installation Supervisor: overseeing the maintenance, calibration, and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment. He has certifications in EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, Allen Bradley Control Logix 5000 Troubleshooting, Rockwell Automation Factory Talk Site Edition Configuration and Troubleshooting, Fire Safety, OSHA 10-Hour Safety, Construction Sites, Scissor Lift, Forklift, Aerial Lift, CPR, AED & First Aid.

Ben Myers, Field Installation Supervisor

Ben joined Element in 2018 as a Mechanical Technician and currently serves as a Field Installation Supervisor for the department. His duties include overseeing the maintenance, calibration, and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment. He has 30 years of commercial refrigeration service and installation experience, 9 years of close sheet metal fabrication plus 4 years of production experience with a stability chamber manufacturer. Ben has certifications for EPA 608 Type 1 and 2 Refrigerants, Fire Safety, OSHA 10-Hour Safety and OSHA Health on Construction Sites, Scissor Lift, Forklift, Aerial Lift, Lull Operator plus TSA clearance, and is CPR, AED & First Aid certified.

Jim Constantine – Department Head

Jim has directed successful projects for over 35 years in North America, Asia, and the UK. These projects include Pharmaceutical, Biorepository, Battery, Semiconductor, Military, and Archival Storage market sectors.

His experience includes Direction of Project Management, Estimating, and Field Installations, and development and implementation of Safety Programs for his teams.

Additionally, he has Plant Management experience with responsibilities that included manufacture of Desiccant Dehumidification Systems, Specialty Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electrical and Control Systems, Test/Cycling Chambers, and Insulated Panel systems for worldwide distribution.

David Tickle – Project Manager

David rejoined Element in 2023 as a Project Manager. After 12 years of military service, he entered the Scientific, Commercial, and Industrial Refrigeration industry. For over 10 years, his roles included Field Superintendent, Installation Lead on Turnkey Pharmaceutical projects, Refrigeration Technician, and Safety Committee Field Representative. This field experience enabled David’s seamless transition to the Project Management role with Element, utilizing tools such as Blubeam, Procore, BIM360, and Project. Certifications include EPA 608 universal, OSHA 30- hour certification in General Industry and Construction, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Luis Mendez – Coordinator

27 years experience in Scientific HVAC/R and Pharmaceutical equipment.  Control Panel Supervisor and estimator.  Civil Engineering and Business Administration experience.  Certified in Construction Project Management.

Brent Jordan

Brent rejoined the Element Scientific-Commercial Team in November 2022 as a Senior Service Technician. One year after his return, he was promoted to Sci-Com Division Service Manager. Brent has 25 years of HVAC-R experience and is known for his strong leadership, creative thinking, and excellent communication skills. He thrives in demanding environments and delivers results that exceed customer’s expectations. Brent also has 5 years of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience in Fermentation, Buffer Prep, Pasteurization, Packaging, and Distribution for major Pharmaceutical Facilities in North Carolina. Certifications include cGMP, EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, Fire Safety, OSHA 10-Hour Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, Confined Space Entry, Aerial & Scissor Lift, TSA Clearance, CPR, AED & First Aid
