A Wendell homeowner reported that the thermostat had not been responding since a previous visit and was still not working properly.
Mario examined the thermostat and confirmed it was completely unresponsive to touch. He pulled the thermostat off the wall to reset it and performed a manual calibration of the screen. He explained that while it may have simply needed a calibration, this could also be an early sign of the thermostat failing, and he provided an estimate to swap out the current thermostat for a new Honeywell model.
After the reset and calibration, the thermostat began working properly.
