The system at a clubhouse in the 27519 area of Cary was not cooling, and a refrigerant leak was suspected.
Dexter found the system frozen up and low in charge, and an electronic leak test determined the leak was in the evaporator coil. He defrosted the unit and determined the evaporator coil and TXV needed to be replaced; after he spoke with his manager, the decision was made to replace the system instead. On a warranty follow-up visit, the newly installed system was not working and the Ecobee thermostat was blank. Dexter checked out the system, confirmed the thermostat had power but was not working, and determined the thermostat needed to be replaced.
