An Apex homeowner in the 27502 area pointed out that multiple bathroom faucets had low pressure during a free whole home plumbing system check.
Jeorell and Nick performed a whole home plumbing inspection and found that, for the most part, everything was in good condition. The low pressure bathroom faucets were determined to need water saver removal, and two showerheads were also producing low water pressure. They also found that four of the original Gerber push button toilets had failing buttons and extremely rusty tank bolts, and since acquiring the correct repair parts would not be cost beneficial, they supplied multiple replacement options to the homeowner. Lastly, they noted that the tankless water heater had not been serviced and could use an annual service to ensure longevity and performance.

An Apex homeowner reported that the pan at the bottom of the unit serving the whole home had too much condensation and was overflowing. He thought it needed cleaning but wanted to know if there was more to the issue.

An Apex homeowner asked to have the water heater flushed and mentioned that it makes a murmuring sound when someone is showering.
While on the property, Nick checked the water pressure to the home and found it unsafe at 100 psi, along with a failed expansion tank. After providing an upfront estimate, he flushed the tank type water heater in the garage, replaced the 2 gallon expansion tank, and replaced the 1 inch PEX pressure regulator in the crawlspace.
The water pressure to the home measured 70 psi with the new charged expansion tank and flushed water heater, and everything was functioning properly.

An Apex homeowner who had just bought his home requested a whole-home plumbing safety inspection, including a look at an exterior drainpipe continuously discharging water near the foundation.
Chris found that the cartridge for the tub/shower in the second-floor guest bath makes a loud screeching noise when the shower is on, and that a single faucet in the master bathroom had low pressure. He removed the water saver from that faucet to restore pressure, then checked the remaining bathrooms, the kitchen double bowl sink and garbage disposal, and the walkable crawlspace with pex water lines and pvc drain lines. Chris recommended replacing the Moen faucet cartridge, upgrading the aging washing machine supply hoses, flushing the tankless water heater, and completing the pool heater gas line and trap nipple work. The homeowner also asked about having a bidet seat installed in the first-floor full bath.
Pressure was restored to the master bathroom faucet after the water saver was removed.
