On a return visit to a Hillsborough home in the 27278 area, the system showed error code E13, which indicated the wrong blower motor. Dexter and Jeorell installed the motor that had arrived, then checked with the parts supplier after the E13 code appeared, and the supplier said a personality module was needed. The team ordered the new part from the supplier's Raleigh location to complete the repair.

A Hillsborough homeowner reported that the barn unit stopped working: there was power, but no air was coming out. The homeowner also asked for an evaluation of all 3 systems to confirm whether routine maintenance was necessary.
Dexter found that the blower motor had stopped. He checked the warranty and found it had ended on 11-22-2024, then ordered a replacement blower motor from a parts supplier in Durham.

A Hillsborough homeowner reported the unit was not working again, one week after a previous visit and a day after the install team re-ran the entire length of thermostat wire.
Dexter found that wires from the thermostat were not protected, though he did not find any shorted wire. He inspected all wires and components, checked every relay with an ohmmeter, and replaced the fuse, after which the system started running. He then fixed the unprotected thermostat wires.
After the thermostat wires were fixed, the system was still working properly.

A Hillsborough homeowner reported that the fuses keep blowing, 3 times now. Bad wiring in the condenser had already been located and fixed, but after a day or so the fuses blew again.
Travis found a break in the low-voltage wiring, along with evidence of a previous repair where the wires had been taped together and left exposed outside of proper protection. He repaired the damaged section, securely closed and properly connected the wiring, and installed conduit over the previously exposed portion to provide insulation and protection from moisture and water intrusion. The previously exposed low-voltage wire was also patched and secured. If the same issue returns, Travis recommended replacing the air-handler control board next, followed by the thermostat if necessary, and finally the entire thermostat low-voltage wiring run.
Continuity was tested throughout the low-voltage circuit and is present, indicating no open breaks in the wiring at this time.

He answered my questions clearly and patiently, advised me of the benefits of a maintenance plan without pressuring me to commit, and followed up with information via email for my consideration, in addition to a detailed report of the services performed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, especially since I received VIP service at a discounted rate.
