They also recorded a 12°F temperature split across the coil (68°F return air / 56°F supply air), noting the system was cooling but performing below optimal efficiency, and strongly recommended a full system replacement due to the age of the equipment.
A water test of the new line confirmed rapid flow with zero leaks at the pan connection or glue joints, and the system was operational and cooling.
